A Facebook data leak was made known to the public recently after Alon Gal, a cyber security personnel tweeted about it. The leak contained 533 million Facebook user details such as name, Facebook ID, phone number, birthdate, email address, gender, relationship status and some other sensitive information not meant to be publicly available. It infact contained details of its founder, Mark Zuckerberg and other persons such as the US Secretary of transportation, Pete Buttiege, and European Union commissioner for data protection, Didier Reynders.

Facebook claimed that the recently unveiled leakage made known by Alon Gal's tweet was actually from a data breach that occurred back in 2019, but revealings by some cyber pros on the internet shows that it actually includes recent data.
