Recently, a twitter user @rajaharia posted a photo that contains the result of a google search. Phone numbers and what seems like chats could be seen, it was also reported to have contained encrypted whatsapp mp4 files. The leak is said to have been that of the users of Whatsapp Web. 

According to the cybersecurity researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia, this was the third time this is happening. He expressed in his tweet that Whatsapp data was being indexed on Google which made it available on search engine hence making it public. He however mentioned that the data that is being leaked is of contacts not saved.

 The risk this poses is that your phone number and certain messages may have been accessed by cyber criminals who could in turn use it against you. 

Whatsapp has removed the group invites and profile links from google search.
