The Samsung Display division has made known its plans to take on emerging panel types so as to be one of the major competitors of the year.

Seeing an increase of over 800% in profit in the last business year, this is a clue to show how huge this market is and the increasing demand for latest display technologies. Also, this shows how much development and acumen Samsung has brought to this division since the huge negative prints the first set of Galaxy Fold devices left.

The Division's senior vice president, Choi Kwong-young had mentioned in their last conference call that they would aim to work more on rollabe and slidable panels in the future, and try as much to keep ahead of other competitors in this market.

It is being speculated that Samsung would be adding new devices whose screens can be tucked away when off use.
