Why has Blackberry OS devices Stopped Working.

You might have had a mix of experiences using your blackberry devices recently. You could have wondered what went wrong with the devices. It can be such a nightmare seeing your device have ceased working. It’s a strange feeling having an active device go blank. A Lot of things could have gone through your mind.

Why Blackberry has failed to work.

You have to remember Blackberry. This was basically the pioneer of the smartphone. It got unleashed in the early 2000s, maybe the late ‘90s. And was considered the premier smartphone. For any time phones are mentioned, the product was typically the first. Since its inventions birth others.

Blackberry was the rave of the moment. Before the era that hosted Apple and Google on board. Google introduced Android software. Then we had smartphones that run the android software. And of course Apple with the iPhone that uses APPL iOS. Hence, it's obvious, iPhone is ultimately the big factor in the demise of Blackberry. However, the final nail in the coffin for Blackberry devices was struck on Tuesday. However  here is the statement released by the company;

"As a reminder, the legacy services for BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier, BlackBerry 10 software, and the PlayBook OS 2.1, and earlier versions will no longer be available after January 4, 2022," the statement reads.

This is however a confirmation of the statement made on Dec. 22. By the company to its users. Informing them of the impending shutdown of so-called legacy services. So as of Tuesday, Legacy Services for Blackberry devices has gone for good. So any Blackberry devices you’re clinging to. Might have to be stuck in a drawer somewhere. So any devices running that software are basically not going to work. According to them, it says devices running that software,

"will no longer reliably function, including for data, phone calls, SMS, and 911 functionality."

Should we bid good bye to this Brand

So should we say this is the end for Blackberry and its devices? Or what should be said of those who are their product lovers?  Obviously, it's been a kind of struggle for Blackberry for some time. Having faced business competitions from Apple and Google. For it was once a status quo among celebrities and affluence. It became a symbol that thrive through many facets of big guys and pop cultures.

The brand peaked in 2012, as tech migrated from external keyboards towards the full screen.  And we had the touch screen devices only. Again, when Apple first came out people were like I want my physical keyboard. Then, eventually, those touch screens got better and better. So people eventually shifted. However, Blackberry attempted to rebound in 2013 by introducing its own touch screen phone.

What the future holds for Blackberry.

It obviously didn't sell well. Hence, the company was pushed to consider selling the company in a deal. Eventually, in 2016 the company announced it would no longer produce devices. Not until 2020 that the company announced its plan to shut down. However, this is never an end to the Blackberry company. For the company is still very much around. They have now shifted to offering security software to businesses, organizations, and governments.
